Programs
The young people we serve range in age from 17 to 27 years old and can be referred to us through the homeless shelters, foster parents (current/prior), child welfare agencies, residential care facilities, advocacy groups, etc. These young people have experienced trauma, most often through neglect or emotional, physical or sexual abuse. In addition, many have been exposed to substance abuse, domestic violence, extreme poverty and other concerns. As a result, many of our children and youth have specialized mental health, behavioral, medical and/or pregnancy and parenting needs. Through our services, we ensure their safety, assist them in creating a stable support system, and help them overcome trauma to lead healthy, happy, and prosperous lives.
In addition to working directly with young people, we provide intensive training on the impact of trauma to our staff, partners, and stakeholders, so that they are best equipped to support the young people we serve.

Well-being Starts With Me! Program
"Well-being Starts with Me!" is our new year-long program designed specifically for youth ages 17-19 who are preparing to transition out of the foster care system. This transformative program is tailored to meet their unique needs, equipping them with essential knowledge, resources, and skills to optimize their decision-making and approach to adulthood.
As part of this empowering journey, we are excited to incorporate the Youth Thrive curriculum, developed by the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP). Youth Thrive is a research-based framework that harnesses the latest scientific insights to identify protective and promotive factors that enhance the likelihood of adolescents developing into healthy, thriving adults.
In addition to the 6 dimensions of wellness, we will also explore the 5 key Protective and Promotive factors. Our participants will gain a heightened awareness of their well-being and be equipped with the tools to make informed choices as they transition into adulthood.
