​Davis and her husband, Nicholaus, established Rose Leaf Foundation in 2019. The organization offers several programs designed to help former foster youth transition successfully into adult life. The programs include an 8 week paid internship that equips youth with skills required to function effectively in the workplace; an independent living program that assists youth 18-27 to live independently in the community, while preparing for their transition to adulthood and a Care Closet that offers monthly access to personal hygiene products. 

Davis spent 19 years in the foster care system and has experienced first-hand how difficult it is to transition successfully without a strong support system.  Today, she boasts a B.Sc. in Exercise Science from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, and a MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. 

But despite her success, Davis has not forgotten her roots. Since her transition from state care, she has been a staunch advocate for child welfare, program development, health care and youth development. She is also federal consultant with JBS International, Inc., for the National Youth in Transition Database Reviews and the Child and Family Services Reviews.

When asked about her motivation for establishing the Rose Leaf Foundation, Davis explained:  “As a foster care alumni, we have the unique ability to relate to the experiences that young people from care face during and after leaving foster care. The transition from foster care is life long and youth from care need to know that they have people who care and resources available as they navigate life after care. We established this charity to help these youth access the resources they often need to make a successful transition into society.”

Since its establishment, Rose Leaf Foundation has been making an impact in the several former foster care youth. To date, the organization has raised a total of $4,000 to support clients affected by Covid-19. They have also donated appliances to families that serve youth in foster care, created resumes for youth, mailed care packages to youth in need, provided rent assistance and provided 2 laptops for youth to complete their post-secondary education.

As a 501c3 organization, Rose Leaf Foundation relies heavily on external support to execute its mission.
